Description

The California Department of Parks and Recreation has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes human remains representing at least 18 Native American individuals and 1,853 associated funerary objects. The department has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, California. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after August 31, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted to the department's authorized representative.
