Description
The University of Texas at San Antonio Center for Archaeological Research (UTSA-CAR) has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory determined that there is no lineal descendant and no Indian Tribe or Native Hawaiian organization with cultural affiliation to the remains. The notice invites written requests for repatriation of the human remains, which may occur on or after August 31, 2026. The UTSA-CAR is responsible for determining the most appropriate requestor if competing requests are received.
