Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Louisiana Division of Archaeology (LDOA) has completed an inventory of human remains and has determined that there is a cultural affiliation between the human remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice informs the public of the inventory completion and the potential for repatriation of the human remains and associated funerary objects. Repatriation may occur on or after August 31, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representative at the Louisiana Division of Archaeology.
