Caltrans is seeking a contractor to provide scheduled and on-call trash collection, hauling, and disposal services at multiple locations in Inyo County. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 09/Maintenance, Division of Procurement and Contracts - Scope of Work: - Scheduled and on-call trash collection, hauling, and disposal at five locations: Independence Maintenance Station, Coso Junction Safety Roadside Rest Area, Lone Pine Visitor Center, Division Creek Safety Roadside Rest Area, and Bishop Maintenance Station - Contractor must provide all labor, trash bins (3 and 4 cubic yard sizes), equipment, travel, incidentals, and cover all associated costs, including disposal fees and taxes - Estimated quantities: - 208 pickups of 3 cubic yard bins at Independence Maintenance Station - 520 pickups of 4 cubic yard bins at Coso Junction Safety Roadside Rest Area - 104 pickups of 3 cubic yard bins at Lone Pine Visitor Center - 26 seasonal pickups of 3 cubic yard bins at Lone Pine Visitor Center (June 1st to August 31st) - 312 pickups of 4 cubic yard bins at Division Creek Safety Roadside Rest Area - 208 pickups of 4 cubic yard bins at Bishop Maintenance Station - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must have a valid Motor Carrier Permit from the California DMV - Must maintain current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations - Compliance with prevailing wage laws if total bid exceeds $15,000 - Recycling requirements apply - 25% Small Business participation goal and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise incentive - Services to be provided Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding state holidays - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation
