The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), through its Acquisition and Property Division, is seeking a contractor to supply and install four mini split ductless HVAC heat pump systems in Trailers 2 and 3 at its Tallahassee, FL facility. - Government Buyer: - USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division, Office of USDA ARS Acquisition and Property D - Contracting Officer: Michael Sherlock - Products and Services Requested: - Four (4) ductless mini split heat pump systems, each with two indoor wall-mounted head units - Associated components: line sets (including 8ft vinyl covers, 3/8 and 3/4 50 ft rolls, insulated suction lines), 60 AMP outdoor disconnects with electrical whips, surge protectors, and 18x38x3 condensing unit pads with hurricane straps - Full installation services, including electrical power installation, system startup, and testing - Decommissioning and removal of existing HVAC systems, including refrigerant removal and electrical disconnection - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and all local codes - Warranty: 1 year labor, 10 years parts - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation - Work must be coordinated to minimize disruption; an electrician may be required - Construction wage requirements and payment bonds apply - Evaluation based on technical capability, past performance, and price - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are specified; the procurement is open to any compliant manufacturer - The opportunity is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 238220 - Estimated contract value is less than $75,000 - Performance period is 45 calendar days after notice to proceed

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1178 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for replacement of mini split HVAC units for the USDA ARS in Tallahassee, FL.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238220  The small business size standard is $19.0M  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.

The magnitude of construction is less than $75,000.
