Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is requesting information regarding the purchase of pyrotechnics for bird hazing operations. These activities are essential to safeguarding federally listed Threatened and Endangered salmon and steelhead smolt during their downriver migration to the Pacific Ocean, in accordance with protections established under the Endangered Species Act. The required pyrotechnic items directly enable field personnel to conduct timely and effective hazing operations necessary to meet these statutory conservation obligations.
If you are an interested vendor, please provide the following information:
1) Business name and point of contact; 2) UEI Number and CAGE Code; 3) business size; and 4) a brief statement of capability not more than three pages to include but not limited to:
A. Product descriptions/specifications describing the salient characteristics of your products and how they match the required pyrotechnics; and include the manufacturer name and address of your products
B. Past performance information on contracts of same scope
C. Whether you have provided pyrotechnics to other agencies
Interested vendors should only provide the data reuqested. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary information in any resultant solicitation(s). Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature.
This is not a request for proposals, but instead market research to determine interested vendors prior to issuing a solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for ths requirement is 325998. Pricing information if provided is for estimation purposes only. A determination by the Government on the method of competing this requirement has not been established. The Government will not award a contract based on the Sources Sought Notice or the information received, nor will it reimburse participants for the information they provide. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
