Description

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Small Craft Harbours (SCH), requires a qualified contractor to undertake breakwater improvement works at Cape John Harbour, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The project includes mobilization, sitework, demolition, removal and reinstallation of armourstone and filter stone, supply and placement of new armourstone, construction activities to restore and improve the breakwater, environmental protection, erosion and sediment control, navigational safety, health and safety measures, and final site restoration. Work must be coordinated to minimize disruption within an active fishing harbour. The contract period is from award until January 29, 2027, with an estimated duration of 4 months starting September 1, 2026.
