The U.S. Coast Guard, through its LOG-95 Regional Contracting Northeast office, is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive snow removal services at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, COCO, Operational Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Regional Contracting East (LOG-95), LOG-95 Regional Contracting Northeast - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; procurement is for commercial snow removal services only - Products/Services Requested: - Seasonal readiness fee (1 per year) - Snow clearing up to 6 inches (estimated 8 visits per year) - Snow clearing for accumulation over 6 inches (estimated 30 inches per year, priced per inch) - Cadet Memorial Field snow clearing up to 6 inches (estimated 3 visits per year) - Cadet Memorial Field snow clearing over 6 inches (estimated 20 inches per year, priced per inch) - Additional snow hauling (as needed, estimated 10 truckloads per year) - Snow plowing and salting for all roads, driveways, parking lots, and the synthetic turf field - Mobilization within one hour of notification and continuous clearing during precipitation - Specialized care and equipment required for synthetic turf field to prevent damage (e.g., rubber-edged plows, brushes, snow blowers) - Contractor must provide a project manager and on-site supervisor, and maintain a supervisory presence during operations - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with wage determinations and all required representations/certifications - Contractor must check in at the main gate, record arrival time and number of plow trucks, and initial completion of all required areas before checkout - Priority clearing for Child Development Center and Deshon St Gate (1 hour before base opening), and Flagpole parking area (before 0730 and at sunset) - Do not block dumpster access or pile snow around access gates - Annual snow removal plan for Cadet Memorial Field required - Contract is 100% set aside for small business under NAICS 561730 ($9.5M size standard) - Base year plus four one-year option periods (total potential duration: 5 years)
Description
