The California Military Department is seeking bids for a comprehensive HVAC system replacement at the Long Beach (Redondo) Armory. - Government Buyer: - California Military Department, Office of the Adjutant General, J9 Facilities & Infrastructure, Area IV Coordinators Office - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): - Daikin (specified as basis of design for air handling and outdoor units) - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of three end-of-life HVAC Roof Top Units (RTUs): - Two 20-ton units - One 15-ton unit - New units must be equivalent or better, cooling-only, 460V/3PH/60HZ, installed on existing curbs - Daikin FXTQ_TA Multi-Position Air Handling Units (part number: FXTQ09TAVJUA) - Daikin RXTQ Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) Heat Pump Outdoor Units (part number: RXTQ36TBVJ9A) - Building Automation System (BAS) upgrade with non-proprietary hardware/software - Air distribution system cleaning (NADCA standards) - Ductwork, piping (hydronic and refrigerant), hangers/supports, and electrical upgrades - Installation of centrifugal HVAC fans, air diffusers, registers, grilles, and duct accessories - Testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems - Electrical work: building wire/cable, grounding, conduit, boxes, disconnect switches, and identification - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mandatory C-20 HVAC contractor license - 365-day completion period from Notice to Proceed - Mandatory pre-bid job walk - Upgrades to Building Automation System for integration with new HVAC equipment - Compliance with prevailing wage, state/local codes, and seismic requirements - Encouragement of Small Business, Micro Business, and DVBE participation (5% DVBE, 25% SB goals) - Removal/disposal of old units and full commissioning of new systems

Description

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicits bids for the replacement of three end-of-life cycle HVAC Roof Top Units (RTU) package units at the Long Beach (Redondo) Armory. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to complete the work in accordance with the IFB terms and conditions. Prospective bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid job walk and possess a type C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor license. Bids must be submitted via email by the specified deadline, and all questions must be directed to the contracting analyst by the stated date.
