Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Field Operations Department is seeking a one-time supply of large-diameter ball and lubricated plug valves for gas distribution infrastructure upgrades. - Government Buyer: - Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW), Field Operations Department - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): - Ball Valves: Balon, Ballomax, Cameron, PBV, Bohmer - Plug Valves: Flowserve, SCV, Galli & Cassina - Products Requested: - Ball valves (2" to 30" nominal sizes), lever or gear operated, with welded end (WE) or raised face (RF) flange connections - API 6D compliant, ANSI class 150 (285 psi WP), fire-safe, carbon steel or ductile iron body & trim - Features include full or reduced port, trunnion design, double block and bleed, stem extensions (33"–46"), direct burial suitability, and certified low-pressure air testing at 10 psig - Lubricated plug valves (4" to 30" nominal sizes), lever or gear operated, welded end, carbon steel body & trim - Equipped with lubrication port, worm gear (for larger sizes), stem extensions, direct burial suitability, and certified low-pressure air testing at 10 psig - Notable Requirements: - Only pre-approved OEMs listed in specification DS30.9 are permitted; no substitutes allowed - All valves must be new, API 6D compliant, and pre-approved by PGW Distribution - Drawings required prior to award; certified low-pressure air test at 10 psig mandatory - Delivery locations specified by valve size; strict delivery deadlines with penalties for late delivery - Preference for U.S.-made products if all other factors are equal - Electronic invoicing and ACH payment required - Minority, woman, veteran, or disabled-owned businesses encouraged to submit certification - Award to lowest responsive, responsible bidder able to meet delivery date; lead time and best and final offer considered in tie bids
