The City of Ventura Public Works Department is seeking experienced consulting firms to provide construction management and geotechnical engineering services for the Santa Paula Branch Line - Rails with Trails Project, a major multi-use trail initiative. - Government Buyer: - City of Ventura, Public Works Department, Transportation Division - Project Scope: - Construction management for approximately four miles of Class I multi-use trail connecting East Ventura Metrolink Station and Saticoy Train Depot - Major improvements include: - Two 100-foot-span pedestrian bridges (Harmon Barranca and Sudden Barranca) - Retaining walls with continuous footings - Asphalt and concrete paving sections designed for 20-year life - Drainage facilities, HAWK signals, traffic signal modifications, trail lighting, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, signing and striping - Railroad crossing improvements, utility relocations, and ADA accessibility enhancements - Services Requested: - Full-time resident engineering, lead inspection, office engineering, specialty inspection coordination - Stormwater and permit compliance, railroad coordination, grant reporting, documentation, and project closeout - Geotechnical engineering: site reconnaissance, drilling, sampling, laboratory and infiltration testing, and foundation recommendations - Notable Requirements: - Extensive coordination with multiple agencies: Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC), Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA/Metrolink), Sierra Northern Railway, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Caltrans, Ventura County, and utility owners - Compliance with environmental and railroad safety regulations - Demonstrated experience, staffing capacity, and local presence required - Adherence to City’s standard Professional Services Agreement and prevailing wage requirements - Estimated construction contract value: $18.4 million to $31.1 million (project total) - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; services are the primary procurement focus

The City of San Buenaventura is seeking proposals from consulting professionals experienced in construction management and inspection for the Santa Paula Branch Line - Rails with Trails Project.
