Yadkin County, North Carolina is seeking a single qualified provider to manage and operate all aspects of its solid waste management and transportation services. - Government Buyer: - Yadkin County Solid Waste Department - Scope of Services: - Comprehensive management and operation of the County’s solid waste transfer station - Collection, transportation, and disposal of municipal solid waste (MSW) from eight convenience centers, county facilities, and fifteen school facilities - Collection and transportation of single-stream recyclables from six convenience centers to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) - Operation of front load containers, roll-off open top containers, and compactors - Transportation of MSW from the transfer station to permitted Subtitle D landfills (all disposal costs included) - Emergency services provision during severe weather or natural disasters - Service Requirements: - Detailed weekly and multi-weekly front load and compactor pickup schedules for numerous county and school sites - Proposer must provide all necessary staffing, equipment (including tractors and transfer trailers), and containers as required - Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and reporting - Ability to handle significant annual tonnage and variable service frequencies across multiple locations - Contract Details: - Initial term of five and a half years, with a unilateral County option to renew for an additional five years - Notice of non-renewal required at least 180 days before contract end - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to all qualified commercial waste management service providers - Notable Requirements: - Single-provider model for all services - Full responsibility for MSW and recycling logistics, operations, and compliance - Emergency response capability

Yadkin County is requesting proposals from a single qualified service provider to manage and operate the County's solid waste transportation operations.
