Description
Los Alamos County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to collect, transport, and process source-separated food waste for its composting program. The selected contractor will process the food waste using County-provided green waste mulch to produce compost for residents and customers. The program initially targets commercial generators such as schools, grocery stores, and restaurants, with potential future expansion to public drop-off sites and residential curbside collection. The County does not have its own composting facility, so the contractor will handle processing.
