Description

The Federal Communications Commission's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and Office of Engineering and Technology seek comments on a proposal to prohibit the continued importation and marketing of certain previously authorized foreign-produced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), UAS critical components, and certain communications and video surveillance equipment listed in section 1709 of the FY2025 NDAA. This equipment has been determined to pose an unacceptable risk to U.S. national security and the safety of U.S. persons. The proposal includes equipment produced by specific entities and their affiliates, and exempts certain authorized uses and equipment. Comments are due by August 31, 2026.
