The Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking public comments on a request regarding the use of a foreign-built small passenger vessel, the S/V LYNX, in United States coastwise trade. The Secretary of Transportation is authorized to determine whether the use of such vessels carrying no more than twelve passengers for hire adversely affects U.S. vessel builders or coastwise trade businesses using U.S.-built vessels.
