Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Egypt during the period of investigation from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. This determination follows a preliminary finding and includes verification of subsidy information from the Government of Egypt and the Ezz Group. The scope covers rebar imported in straight length or coil form, excluding plain rounds, and includes various HTSUS classifications. The determination results in a countervailing duty rate of 23.27% ad valorem for the Ezz Group and all other producers and exporters.
