Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a Contractor to recondition four (4) marine propulsion propellers (wheels). The propellers, from two USACE dredge tender boats, have experienced normal wear and tear during the past dredge season. The propellers are: 38 inches diameter x 33 inch pitch; 4 blade stainless steel workhorse-style propellers; 2 are Right Hand rotation, 2 are Left Hand rotation. Contractor will: Repair minor to medium blade damage; straighten and weld as necessary; pitch propellers to Class 2 per ISO R484-2 standard; Static balance and finish polish; Check internal bore; Check keyway condition; Blue-fit taper bore to SAE gauge for 70% minimum fit. Contractor is responsible for transporting the propellers from the USACE Fountain City, WI Service Base. The Government will have the propellers palletized for shipment. With advance notice of at least one day, a forklift operator will be available to assist with loading. Reconditioned Propellers must be delivered FOB(D) to Fountain City Service Base no later than 30 November 2026. --- This solicitation is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 332999 with a size standard of 500 employees. -- Offerors are requested to submit any technical questions through the Q and A tab of the PIEE module.
