Description

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Western States Division intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to Natural Resources Consultants (NRC) 1900 West Nickerson St. Suite 207 Seattle, WA 98119 for the purchase of a feasibility study to evaluate the availability of data for expanding the existing set of fisheries estimates to include new state fisheries which have not been previously estimated.  NRC is the only source of information on the size of the workforce in commercial fisheries throughout the U.S.  This highly specific information is not available from any other source.  No other vendors have the extensive experience, expertise, and proprietary methodology of collecting this data currently.  No solicitation will be published for this requirement. This notice is issued solely to determine whether there are any responsible sources capable of meeting the Government's requirements.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all capability statements, or responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice shall be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
