FEMA is seeking industry input on the ability to rapidly supply Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Push Kits and individual DME items for disaster shelter operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Logistics Management Division, Distribution Management Division, Supply Chain Integration Branch - Products/Services Requested: - DME Push Kits and full kits designed to support 200-person disaster shelters - Kits include 47 to 51 types of medical and assistive devices - Items include bariatric cots, wheelchairs (adult, pediatric, bariatric), commodes, walkers (standard, heavy duty, bariatric), shower chairs, IV poles, canes, crutches, ramps, assistive listening devices, thermometers, and more - Specific part numbers and quantities are provided for each item (e.g., 3 Westcott 700 Bariatric Cots, 500 LED Magnifying Glasses, 6 Digital Infrared Thermometers) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Surge delivery of up to 702 kits within 72 hours to any CONUS or OCONUS location - Steady-state delivery of minimum quantities within 10 days (CONUS) or 3 weeks (OCONUS) - Delivery orders may request full kits or individual items - Kits must support mass sheltering and humanitarian assistance operations - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - This is a market research RFI and does not commit FEMA to procurement or specify contract vehicles.

Description

FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT 

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Logistics Management Division, Distribution Management Division, Supply Chain Integration Branch, seeks to identify and assess industry capabilities to provide disaster Durable Medical Equipment in support of emergency response and steady-state operations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). The information collected will be used to support contingency planning, requirements development, and operational readiness assessments related to mass sheltering operations during natural disasters, humanitarian assistance, and other emergency response scenarios.

This RFI is issued solely for information gathering purposes to identify sources that can provide support for the Supply Chain Integration Branch. In accordance with FAR 15.101(e), RFIs may be used when the Government wants to obtain price, delivery, other market information, and capabilities for planning purposes. Responses to these RFIs are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This RFI shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with their RFI response. Respondents will not receive additional information in response to their submittal to the RFI and will not be notified of the resulting market research.
