Pinto Island Yard Elevation Raising Project – Alabama Port Authority Solicitation

The Alabama Port Authority is seeking bids for the Pinto Island Yard Elevation Raising project at the Pinto Island Steel Terminal in Mobile, Alabama. - Scope of Work: - Excavate approximately 990 cubic yards of existing soil from the terminal dock - Place excavated soil in designated low spots at the rear of the yard - Install ALDOT Class 1 geotextile fabric across the project area - Furnish, place, and compact approximately 790 tons of ALDOT No. 610 stone to create a suitable driving surface - Contractor Requirements: - Provide all necessary bonds, insurance, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision - Maintain operability of at least two of three terminal berths during construction (phased execution) - Comply with Alabama state licensing and employment laws - No specific OEMs or named vendors are identified in the solicitation - All workers must have valid access credentials (TWIC Card, APA Badge, APA Vehicle Decal)

Description

This solicitation is for the excavation of existing soils from the terminal dock to be placed in low spots in the rear of the yard at locations specified by Terminal staff. The contractor will also be required to place and compact ALDOT No. 610 Stone in the excavated area to provide a suitable driving surface for Terminal operations at the Pinto Island Steel Terminal for the Alabama Port Authority. The work includes providing bonds, labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and supervision necessary for the specified work. The project site is located at 910 Dunlap Drive, Mobile, Alabama. The contract requires completion within 30 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed, with work hours during normal daylight hours and phased execution to maintain terminal operability.
