Description

This project involves the removal and disposal of the existing built-up roof membrane down to the existing tongue and groove wood decking at the high roof and barrel vault, as well as removal and disposal of built-up roof to plywood deck at the low roof. It includes removal and disposal of corrugated metal siding at gable ends of the vaulted roof, installation of tapered polyisocyanurate insulation and coverboard, mechanical fastening of the first layer of insulation, and full adherence of subsequent layers. New EPDM roof membrane will be installed at flat roofs, standing seam metal roof at vaulted roof with underlayment, parapet height will be raised to accommodate new tapered insulation, and new sheet metal flashings and parapet coping will be installed. Safety rails and ladders will also be installed. An additive bid includes structural upgrades with installation of 5/8" plywood roof diaphragm.
