The City of Dallas Public Works Department is seeking bids from qualified utility contractors for the Old Acworth Road & Veterans Drive Culvert Replacement Project. - Government Buyer: City of Dallas Public Works Department (Georgia) - Project Scope: - Removal and replacement of existing corrugated metal pipes (CMP) - Installation of reinforced concrete pipes (RCP): - 33 linear feet of double barrel 48" RCP (Old Acworth) - 43 linear feet of double barrel 60" RCP (Veterans Drive) - Installation of headwalls and retaining walls: - 2 straight headwalls/retaining walls (Old Acworth) - 2 concrete headwalls with wingwalls (Veterans Drive) - Water and sewer utility work: - 35 linear feet of 6" ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main replacement - 33 linear feet of 8" ductile iron sanitary sewer installation - Roadway work: - 721 square feet of pavement (Old Acworth) - 3,504 square feet of pavement (Veterans Drive) - Raising 180 linear feet of roadway (Veterans Drive) - Additional requirements: - Erosion control, grading, and related site work - Lump sum bid; contract may be split or awarded in full - Contractors must be licensed utility contractors in Georgia and on the City’s approved list - Independent geotechnical soil testing and as-built survey required - Guardrail installation and traffic control per GDOT standards - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; products must meet applicable standards (e.g., GDOT, ASTM) - Notable Requirements: - Cast-in-place (not precast) headwalls required - Substantial completion within 60 days, total completion within 90 days; $500/day liquidated damages for delays - Access for residents must be maintained throughout construction

Description

The City of Dallas is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified, responsive, and responsible bidders holding an active utility contractors license in Georgia and listed on the City of Dallas approved utility contractors list. The procurement is for the purchase and installation of the Old Acworth Road and Veterans Drive Culvert Replacement Project, funded by City of Dallas SPLOST funds. Bids must be submitted by 10:00 am on July 30, 2026, at Dallas City Hall and will be publicly opened and read aloud. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and award the contract in whole or in part, with the option to negotiate terms with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s).
