NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is seeking a contractor to remove and replace the bird exclusion netting system at Hangar 13, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Regional Directorate - Scope of Work: - Remove and dispose of existing bird exclusion netting - Design, furnish, and install a new bird exclusion netting system covering approximately 63,240 sq ft - 49,500 sq ft of 3/4" black bird netting on ceiling and upper walls - 7,500 sq ft on lower ceiling in aircraft nose bays - 6,240 sq ft of protective netting around 24 wall-mounted heaters - Seal all exterior entry points in walls and ceiling to prevent avian access - Install black PVC coated hardware cloth where netting is insufficient - Provide at least 20 access points for maintenance - Product/Service Requirements: - Netting must be UV-stabilized, flame-resistant, and meet specified quality standards - System must be tension-mounted, taut, and free of droop - Use non-sparking tools and limit penetrations to mortar joints - Protect hangar and aircraft during work; coordinate with tenant contractors - Maintain a clean work environment - Provide a two-year warranty covering materials, workmanship, and system performance - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Contractor must have experience with similar projects

Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, remove and dispose of existing netting, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to design, furnish, and install a bird exclusion netting system in Hangar 13 at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. The purpose of this system is to eliminate bird nesting and roosting within the facility and prevent further avian access by sealing off entry points in the walls and ceiling.
