NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office in Mobile, AL is seeking a contractor to replace its entire HVAC system. - Government Buyer: - Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Mobile, AL - Products and Equipment Requested: - Three split DX air handling units: - Two 15-ton units (part number: TTA180E400AA) - One 10-ton unit (part number: TTA12044DAC03BS) - Nine electric duct heaters (460V/3PH) - Building Automation System (BAS): - Automated Logic BACnet BTL Certified BAS with supervisory controller, 3 AHU controllers, 9 EDH controllers, 10 thermostats, remote display, alarms, safeties, interlocks, and integration with existing CRAC units - Services Required: - Removal and disposal of old HVAC equipment - Installation, testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), and commissioning of new system - Ductwork cleaning, resealing, and re-insulation to SMACNA Seal Class B - Replacement of intake dampers with Category 4 hurricane-rated systems (ASTM E1996, AMCA 540 compliant) - Provision of temporary HVAC for administrative areas during replacement - Third-party commissioning and formal closeout, including training - Unique/Notable Requirements: - BAS must be BACnet BTL certified and Automated Logic brand - Warranty: One year for parts and labor - All work must be completed within 180 days of Notice to Proceed - Compliance with Davis-Bacon Act wage rates and performance/payment bonds - Total small business set-aside under NAICS 238220 - No specific OEMs for air handling units or duct heaters are mandated, but Automated Logic is required for the BAS.
