Must meet the following requirements: 1. Integrated monitor and ultrasound machine (one machine for everything/vein access and PICC position) for vein assessment and access. Need a high clear resolution for needle tip tracking. 2. Integrated software program in the ultrasound machine that includes a remote control that has the software contained within the ultrasound probe itself. This helps ensure a sterile procedure field, with only one reach outside the field to grab the probe / remote. A separate remote requires a second reach and adds to expense with additional probe covers and replacements. 3. Disposable, individual ECG electrodes for each patient. (This reduces the potential for infectious pathogens to be spread from patient to patient, and room to room.) 4. A Sherlock T-piece tip tracker for the patient s chest, to visualize PICC tip entry into the subclavian, and allow for repositioning before procedure ends if needed. (This is useful for Afib and paced patients, who can t use ECG technology for PICC confirmation, but could still have a malpositioned PICC placement without this component) 5. ECG technology to confirm PICC Tip placement in the Superior Vena Cava all on one screen (No chest x-ray needed.) 6. Needle tip tracking technology to illuminate needle tip during vein cannulation and ensure pathway. 7. A true ambidextrous remote-control design.
