The City of Omaha is soliciting bids for the construction of a 1,970-foot-long 72-inch inside diameter combined sewer gravity conveyance sewer using microtunneling and hand-mining within bedrock. The project also includes the construction of launching and receiving shafts for tunnel construction. The project has a Small & Emerging Small Business (SEB) reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 3.5% of the total bid and requires submission of an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP). An optional apprentice utilization incentive is available, and contractors should attach an Apprenticeship Incentive Form with their bid.
