This opportunity seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance services for the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs - Sub-agency: St. Cloud VA Health Care System - Products/Services Requested: - Annual inspection, testing, maintenance, and replacement of fire extinguishers - Services include: - 5/6-year internal maintenance - 10/12-year hydrostatic testing - Recharging, replacement, removal, and disposal of expired extinguishers - All work must comply with NFPA 10 and EPA guidelines - Approximate quantities of extinguishers: - 70 units: 2 lb dry chemical - 17 units: 5 lb dry chemical - 4 units: 8 lb dry chemical - 423 units: 10 lb dry chemical - 10 units: wet chemical (K) - 12 units: CO2 - 4 units: water mist - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must be performed by certified technicians - Contractor responsible for both inspection and full lifecycle maintenance (including disposal) - Services must adhere to strict regulatory standards (NFPA 10, EPA) - Contract includes a base year plus four option years

The DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, Network Contracting Office 23, is conducting research to learn of the availability and capability of business sources qualified to provide the services listed below. This is NOT a solicitation.

REQUIREMENT: Fire extinguisher inspection and service contract for the St. Cloud VA Healthcare System, St. Cloud, MN.

WE SEEK PARTICIPATION FROM INDUSTRY!!! Please review the Statement of Work and Price Cost Schedule attached. The VA intends to award a contract for annual inspections AND services. We intend to have a contract that includes a schedule of all the CLINS (with pricing) needed for all the possible services that may be required. We intend to have the VA Medical Center issue task orders for these pre-priced services/CLINS as needed according to the results of each inspection. Please let us know if our pricing schedule accomplishes this goal or if there are other models or ideas for accomplishing objectives. We welcome your input.
