The USDA Forest Service, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, is seeking a contractor for comprehensive elevator modernization, repair, and long-term maintenance at its Supervisors Office in Lufkin, TX. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, Supervisors Office, Lufkin, TX - OEMs and Vendors: - The existing elevator is a Montgomery Kone 2500lb passenger model - All replacement parts must be non-proprietary and have OEM traceability; no specific OEMs are mandated for new components - Products/Services Requested: - Full elevator modernization including mechanical, electrical, and safety system upgrades - Replacement of drive/controller, hoist motor, governor, traction ropes, traveling cable, car components, door operator, and protection systems - Installation of non-proprietary equipment, software, and hardware - Commissioning, testing, and staff training - Final cleanup and site restoration - Annual elevator certification inspections and load testing - Five-year maintenance plan (base year plus four option years), including monthly maintenance and repairs as needed - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All replacement parts must be non-proprietary and traceable to the OEM - Compliance with ASME/ANSI A17.1 and ADA standards is required - Contractor must provide a one-year warranty on all replacement work - Annual certification and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations - All parts must be new and approved; Certificates of Conformance required - Contractor must notify the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and submit quotes for repairs beyond warranty - Project is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 238290
