Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Appalachian Fruit Research Station (AFRS) requires a new 100hp, 4-wheel drive, narrow utility, cab tractor to address the challenges of applying pesticides in a consistent and timely manner, reducing potential crop loss. This procurement would support the protection of research crops, maintain experimental consistency, and reduce the risk of disruption to ongoing and future research activities.

This contract action will be utilizing simplified procedures in accordance with RFO 12.201-1(c)(2). The resulting contract will be for a commercial service, with an anticipated award date of September 30, 2026.

The intent of the contracting office is to issue a solicitation to three previously identified sources in accordance with RFO 12.201-1(c)(2). Any responsible source that meets the criteria above may request to the contracting officer (identified above) to be included in the solicitation to submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.

All offerors must meet be registered in SAM.gov in order to be eligible for award.
