This opportunity is for a five-year IDIQ contract to supply bulk road salt and bagged ice melt to the Erie VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, Commodities 1 - Products Requested: - Bulk Road Salt - 200 tons annually - Minimum 98% Sodium Chloride, pellet form, treated with anticaking compound (e.g., Yellow Prussiate of Soda) - Pellet size: 1/4 to 5/8 inch diameter, colored for visual dispersion, free flowing, dry, max 1% water content - Delivered in whole-ton increments - Bagged Ice Melt - 24 pallets annually (up to 50 bags of 50 lbs per pallet) - Calcium Chloride with Calcium Magnesium Acetate (CMA) corrosion inhibitor - Pellet or granular form, effective to -25°F, fast acting, safe for concrete/asphalt/vegetation - Colored for visual dispersion, weatherproof/waterproof bags, dry and not clumped - Delivered on pallets - Notable Requirements: - Deliveries must occur within 24 hours of notification during winter events - Contract is set aside for small businesses - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; products must meet detailed composition and performance specifications - Contract Structure: - Base year plus four option years (total five years) - Annual estimated quantities: 200 tons bulk salt, 24 pallets bagged ice melt

Five (5) Year IDIQ for Bulk Rock Salt and Bagged Ice Melt for the Erie VA Medical Center. This solicitation is set aside for Small Businesses. See solicitation attatchment for full details. Vendors must read the solicitation in its entirety. Fill out all sections that require vendor input. The award will be a five year IDIQ starting in 2026. Official dates will be issued at time of award Questions must be sent to the Contract Specialist Olivia McDonald via email at olivia.mcdonald@va.gov. The final date questions will be accepted is 12:00 PM EST on 08/04/2026. NO Phone calls will be accepted. **All quoters agree to hold pricing for 90 days. Contract will not be awarded until after 10/01/2026.
