The USDA Forest Service is seeking roofing contractors for the Chadron Work Center Shop Roof Replacement project in Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region, Pine Ridge Ranger District - Contracting Officer: Lucas J. Dahlman - Scope of Work: - Removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingle roofing systems on two garage-like structures (West Shop: approx. 3,914 sq ft; East Shop: approx. 2,250 sq ft) - Installation of new asphalt shingle roofing systems with high grade synthetic underlayment, ice dam material, vent jacks/boots, gutter apron, drip edge, and other appurtenances - Salvaging and reinstalling existing gutters and downspouts - Removal and replacement of 1/2" CDX plywood sheathing as needed (option item) - Inspection and repair of damaged decking (option item) - Disposal of construction waste/debris at a sanitary landfill - Products/Services Requested: - Asphalt shingle roofing systems (no specific OEMs, part numbers, or brands specified) - Synthetic underlayment, vent jacks/boots, gutter apron, drip edge, CDX plywood sheathing - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must provide all materials and labor - Safety and accident prevention plans required prior to work commencement - Performance and payment bonds, bid guarantee required - Notification to Contracting Officer if damaged sheathing is discovered - Project plans, weekly reports, and material cut sheets must be submitted - NAICS Code: 238160 (Roofing Contractors) - No specific OEMs or brands are named; contractors may propose suitable commercial roofing products.

PROJECT:  CHADRON WORK CENTER SHOP ROOF REPLACEMENT - NEBRASKA NF & GRASSLANDS

QUESTIONS DUE:  AUGUST 13, 2026, BY 9:00 A.M. MOUNTAIN TIME & QUOTES DUE:  AUGUST 28, 2026, BY 9:00 A.M. Description of Work:  The Contractor will provide all materials and labor necessary to perform the work required on this project.  This Project consists of the removal of the asphalt shingles on a garage-like structure and roofing replacement with new asphalt roofing system per specifications. Also, the removal and replacement of the underlayment per specifications. All new vent jacks/roof boots will be installed, and the existing boots/jacks will be disposed of. The removal and reuse of any existing gutter and downspout system is also included in this project. If any damaged sheathing is discovered during the removal stage of the project, the contractor shall inform the CO and COR before continuing any work.
