Description

The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Office of the Chief Component Procurement Officer intends to issue on a sole source basis an award to Bradley Electro Sales Corp for the procurement of an S&C Vista Remove Supervisory Underground Distribution Switch Gear Model 523. It is anticipated that the contract type will be Firm Fixed-Price.

The S&C Electric Co. brand is required because the Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) has existing S&C Switching Stations on site.  The spare unit must fit inside of the current footprint of the existing equipment.  If or when an existing switching station fails, this will allow the agency to simplify and ensure that maintenance costs are kept low because the MWEOC staff is familiar with the maintenance and repair of the equipment.  Procuring an alternate product would require complete infrastructure replacement and the purchase of additional spare parts and maintenance materials.  Bradley Electro Sales Corp is the authorized distributor for S&C Electric Co. (Switching Equipment) therefore a direct award will be made to the vendor.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 – FAR 12.201-1, Simplified procedures.
