Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL), managed by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking proposals for the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of high-power solid state RF amplifiers for the PIP-II linear accelerator project. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) - Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) Procurement Department - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; procurement is open to qualified manufacturers of high-power RF amplifiers - Products Requested: - Solid State RF Amplifiers (SSAs) in three power/frequency classes: - SSR2: 20kW CW at 325 MHz (Part Number: ED47317) - 26 units (plus 5 optional units) - LB650: 40kW CW at 650 MHz (Part Number: ED47313) - 15 units (plus 5 optional units) - HB650: 65kW CW at 650 MHz (Part Number: ED47315) - 11 units (plus 5 optional units) - Each amplifier must include hardware, software, design documentation, quality control documentation, and operations manuals - Notable Requirements: - All amplifiers must meet detailed technical specifications for output power, gain compression, bandwidth, stability, EMI compliance, and safety interlocks - Must support remote and local control, integrate with FNAL's low-level RF system, and include fail-safe personnel interlocks and protection features - Turnkey, rack-mounted systems with specified cooling and power requirements - Delivery to Batavia, Illinois, with concurrent fabrication possible for multiple awards - Firm-fixed pricing required; optional units pricing must be held for one year - Proposals must include design reviews, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing - Documentation and testing required upon delivery

This is for the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of a variety of RF Amplifiers (SSAs) operating at different frequencies and peak power levels.
