Description

Pierce County intends to make a directly negotiated purchase based on a sole source and special facility procurement exemption for a project at the Pierce County Jail. The work involves modification and expansion of the existing facility monitoring system to integrate new duress system devices into the current video and door lock control architecture. This includes comprehensive reprogramming of customized PLC ladder logic and HMI systems previously developed by Status Automation, concluding with formal testing and commissioning. The County determined that Status Automation is the only entity capable of performing the required work without replacing the entire system.
