Description

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) plans to submit an Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to collect organizational National Provider Identifiers (NPIs) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Certification Numbers (CCNs) from organizations applying for HRSA funding through Grants.gov. This collection aims to standardize the collection of organizational identifiers to support research, program evaluation, and evidence-building, enhancing accountability and minimizing fraud. The collection is limited to organizations that already have these identifiers and does not require organizations to obtain them if they do not have them. Public comments on the burden estimate or any aspect of the ICR are requested by September 28, 2026.
