Description

The City of Gallup is seeking proposals from qualified EPC firms to deliver a turnkey 115 kV to 13.2 kV, 30 MVA electrical substation located in the Carbon Coal Road area. The contractor will be responsible for all phases including engineering, design, permitting, equipment procurement, site development, civil and electrical construction, testing, commissioning, startup, project management, training, and project closeout. This project supports the growing electrical demand in the recently annexed Carbon Coal area, which includes developments like a new regional hospital, trade port, and residential, commercial, and industrial expansion. The new substation will enhance system capacity, reliability, and operational flexibility, aligning with the City’s long-term infrastructure and economic development plans.
