Description
Joint Base Charleston is seeking vendors for the repower and repair of one (1) United States Air Force Almar 26-foot Sounder T-Top vessel.
The anticipated scope of work will require the contractor to provide all labor, materials, and transportation to remove legacy propulsion/control systems and install new dual outboard engines, compatible hydraulic steering, electrical wiring, batteries, and digital instrumentation.
Note on Geographic Limitation: To mitigate transportation risk to the Government-owned hull and to facilitate mandatory in-person joint sea trials with USAF personnel, the contractor’s commercial repair facility must be located within a fifty (50) mile highway driving radius of Joint Base Charleston – Naval Weapons Station, SC.
