Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of standing timber on approximately 55 acres within one (1) block at Ethan Allen Firing Range Installation, Chittenden County, Vermont. Approximately the following volumes to be harvested from within the designated block boundary:
The sale is being sold lump sum, a sufficient bid requires a 20% of total bid amount accompanied in certified funds. The full bid balance payment is due prior to commencement removal of designated timber from the sale area.

Contract Period of Performance:
Item # one (1) Shadow Timber sale: Harvest operations including tree felling and skidding, shall be completed by 31 March 2027, processing logs at the log landing, hauling wood products offsite, demobilization, and final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 July 2027. Access to the harvest area will be restricted between 3 March and 8 March for a range shutdown. No tree cutting between 1 April to 29 November.
INSPECTION INVITED ON FRIDAY August 14, 2026, AT 9:00 a.m. AN ADDITIONAL DATE AND TIME MAY BE AVAILABLE DEPENDING ON SCHEDULING ACCESS & AVAILABILITY. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 27, 2026 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
