Description
Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (referred to as JLab from this point forward) is seeking to gain understanding of possible costs and schedule for different types of Magnets for use in the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) which will be installed at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The Magnet coils will be procured based on either drawing design or technical specifications. This request for information (RFI) communication is a critical first step in our path to success. Its intent is to bring our industry partners into the loop as early in the process as possible prior to release of any formal requests for proposal(s) (RFP). The RFI process is a tool utilized to gain industry input into the process on the strategy, specifications, and supporting documentation as they get finalized prior to any RFP(s).
