Union County Public Schools is seeking bids for a comprehensive roof replacement and exterior repair project at Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, NC. - Government Buyer: - Union County Public Schools, Facilities Department - Project Scope: - Full removal and replacement of various roof areas with new insulation, cover boards, and two-ply modified bitumen membranes - Installation of new flashings, gutters, downspouts, and roof accessories (e.g., walk pads, line supports) - Repairs to EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), including crack repairs, pressure washing, recoating, and caulking - Brick repairs and flashing work at specific locations - Metal roof maintenance, including fastener and vent stack boot replacement (as an alternate) - Construction of a new platform and extension of roof vents - Support and routing of condensation lines with schedule 80 PVC and P-traps - Products/Materials: - Isocyanurate insulation, cover boards, two-ply modified bitumen membrane, PVC roofing membrane, sheet metal flashing and trim, EIFS acrylic topcoat, split face block coating, fasteners with neoprene washers, boots and boot covers, gutters, downspouts, walk pads, line supports - Contractors may select manufacturers for certain coatings and topcoats, provided they meet technical specifications - Services: - Roof replacement, EIFS crack repair, sealant replacement at windows, pressure washing, brick repairs, roof observation and quality assurance - Notable Requirements: - 20-year NDL (No Dollar Limit) manufacturer's warranty on roofing system - 2-year contractor warranty - Licensed and bonded mechanical/refrigeration/electrical contractor required for certain tasks - 5% bid security required - 10% minority business participation goal - Full-time roof observation and manufacturer inspections during construction - Liquidated damages of $500 per day for late completion - OEMs: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; contractors may propose suitable products that comply with the technical specifications
