The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is offering approximately $21 million in competitive grants under the Buses and Bus Facilities Program. The funding supports capital projects such as replacing, rehabilitating, purchasing or leasing buses or related equipment, and rehabilitating, purchasing, constructing or leasing bus-related facilities. Eligible applicants include government entities such as state, county, city, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments, as well as private nonprofit organizations engaged in public transportation. Proposals must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov by September 21, 2026.
