The Municipality of Fundy Albert is seeking bids for the Alma Shoulder Reconstruction project on Scenic Drive in Alma, New Brunswick. - Government Buyer: - Municipality of Fundy Albert (Director of Operations: Ian Barrett) - Scope of Work: - Comprehensive roadway shoulder reconstruction and paving - Installation of erosion control structures (Type B), riprap-lined ditches, and sediment control fencing - Drainage improvements including: - Supply and installation of 76 meters of 100mm diameter corrugated HDPE storm sewer pipe (shoulder drain) - Installation and adjustment of precast catch basins (1 new, 1 adjustment, 1 removal) - Relocation of culverts and backfill for structures - Placement of aggregate base, subbase, and shoulder materials (including 31.5mm rock) - Application of warm asphalt mix (Mix D) and asphalt concrete (approx. 40 tonnes) - Traffic control services including signage, devices, and barricades - Use of geotextile fabric (210 sq.m) for stabilization - Mobilization and demobilization services - Products/Materials Requested: - Common excavation (80 cu.m), ditching (93 m), borrow material (120 tonnes), backfill (40 tonnes), aggregate base (20 tonnes), shoulder material (70 tonnes), random riprap (130 tonnes) - Notable Requirements: - Bid bond or certified cheque equal to 10% of bid price (including HST) - Performance security and Certificate of Recognition (COR) if bid exceeds $100,000 - Strict four-week completion window with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays - Adherence to New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Standard Specifications - Drawings and specifications available from WSP Canada Group Limited for a fee - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; standard construction materials and products are specified - Period of Performance: - Substantial completion required within four consecutive weeks, with a final deadline no later than September 30 - Work hours restricted to weekdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, weekends/holidays 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
