• Notable requirements include managed hosting on commercial cloud, strict confidentiality and non-disclosure compliance with IRS Publication 1075, detailed service level agreements (SLAs) with performance metrics, and quarterly reporting.
• The contract features nine one-year option periods, with five exercised to date, and annual pricing adjustments. The cumulative contract value exceeds $57 million, with individual option years ranging from $8.2 million to $11.5 million.
• The contract ensures uninterrupted tax collection operations, system upgrades, and enhanced fraud prevention for the District's tax systems.

The District of Columbia Office of The Chief Financial Officer, Office of Contracts, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), is awarding a single consolidated contract for MITS maintenance and support. This includes Hosting services, Fraud Data services, and Support Staff for the combined Income, Business, and Real Property Tax System operating on the GenTax software. The contract ensures uninterrupted critical tax collection functions. The contract has nine option periods of one year each, with five options exercised, and the current term runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
