The City of Garland is seeking competitive sealed proposals for construction services to expand and renovate the C.M. Hinton Jr. Regional Landfill facility in Rowlett, TX. - Government Buyer: - City of Garland, Procurement and Contracts Division - Scope of Work: - 7,475 SF interior renovation of the existing landfill building - 5,600 SF building addition, resulting in a total facility footprint of approximately 13,075 SF - Construction of a new concrete parking lot with site lighting and ADA-compliant access - Installation of new overhead cranes (including a 20-ton crane), fire sprinkler system, and fire alarm system expansion - Temporary staff trailers with utility connections - Application of elastomeric coatings to exterior wall surfaces (alternate) - Demolition, structural steel framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, millwork, and interior finishes - Products and Equipment Requested: - Overhead crane (20-ton capacity) - Champion HR1SDF-24 air compressor - Fire alarm and automatic sprinkler systems - Electric water heater with recirculation pump - Plumbing fixtures (lavatories, water closets, urinals, emergency showers, eye wash stations) - LED lighting fixtures, electrical distribution equipment - Metal roof and wall panels, millwork/cabinetry - Services Requested: - General construction, demolition, site preparation, foundation work, structural steel erection, roofing, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, HVAC, interior finishes, site lighting - Special inspections and testing per 2015 IBC and NFPA standards - Use of Projectmates project management software (license provided by City) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with 2015 IBC, NFPA, Texas Accessibility Standards, and prevailing wage rates - Bid, performance, payment, and maintenance bonds required - Detailed evaluation criteria covering price, experience, project approach, and personnel - Maintenance bond covers two years after final acceptance - Estimated Contract Value: - Approximately $4,200,000 including $100,000 owner-controlled contingency

The City of Garland is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for construction services related to the expansion and remodeling of the Hinton Landfill facility, including a 7,475 square foot interior renovation, a 5,600 square foot building addition, and improvements to the parking lot with new concrete paving and site lighting.
