Description
Municipal Affairs is seeking a consultant to develop two community design codes: the Alberta Urban Development Code (AUDC) and the Alberta Heritage Architectural Code (AHAC). These codes aim to provide practical, clear, and implementable standards and design guidance for municipalities across Alberta to support safe, affordable, attractive, livable, and family-friendly communities. The initiative addresses the lack of standardized community design codes and limited municipal capacity to develop comprehensive design guidance. Municipalities may voluntarily adopt these codes to improve development outcomes and streamline approval processes.
