Description

The University is seeking an integrated, field-installed lysimeter facility comprising six independently weighed, monolithic soil lysimeters along with associated service, sensing, sampling, data-acquisition, control, and commissioning infrastructure. The system will be installed at the Emile A. Lods Agronomy Research Centre on McGill University’s Macdonald Campus to support year-round research on soil-water and solute fluxes, evapotranspiration, drainage, nutrient and contaminant transport, crop response, and freeze-thaw processes. The lysimeter surfaces must be integrated at the surrounding field grade and managed with the same crops and field practices as adjacent plots to simulate continuous field conditions. The successful bidder must provide complete equipment-interface information, coordinate with engineering and construction parties, supervise specialized activities, install and configure instrumentation and control systems, and commission the complete research system.
