Description
We require an instrument that can acquire real-time data from multiple modes of measurement, including monochromator-based fluorescence, UV/Vis absorbance, and luminescence. We require the following: linear Variable Monochromator, permitting tunable band passes up to 100nm; a tunable dichroic mirror permitting air-based light path for monochromator without light guides or fiberoptics; auto ranging of detector sensitivity and gain for fluorescence measurements below 760,000,000-counts; enhanced Dynamic Range autoranging of detector sensitivity in less than 0.1s; absorbance based on a dedicated spectrometer, not a monochromator. Complete UV/Vis absorbance spectrum from 220nm-1000nm at 1nm resolution in less than 0.5s with all wavelengths captured simultaneously with a diode array; heated optics. A heated optical head means that incubated microplate wells remain in a uniform temperature environment even during detection. The instrument should have a temperature controller than can go up to 45 °C, bottom reading, two reagent injectors for automated injection for initiating kinetic events and flash luminescence, and an atmospheric control unit with software-controlled CO2 andO2 concentrations for cell culture at 5% CO2. The unit should come with software for data visualization and analysis.
