Description

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Stemme GmbH TSA-M Model S6-RT and Stemme S 12 gliders. This AD was prompted by a report of a leaking electrical fuel transfer pump. It requires inspecting affected electrical fuel transfer pumps for certain non-conforming parts and replacing them with approved parts if found. The AD also prohibits installation of certain non-conforming parts on affected gliders to address an unsafe condition that could result in an in-flight fire and possible explosion.
