Description

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) will hold public meetings from August 11 to August 13, 2026. The meetings will cover various fishery management topics including specifications for surfclam, ocean quahog, summer flounder, scup, black sea bass, butterfish, chub mackerel, monkfish, skates, and bluefish. The meetings will be held in person at The Westin Philadelphia and virtually via Webex webinar. The agenda includes election of officers, review of survey updates, management plan reviews, and public comments. The Council aims to address fishery conservation and management issues under the Magnuson-Stevens Act.
