The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement and is requesting quotations for the following part:

10 MICRON RATING. FOR USE ON THE MTU MAIN PROPULSION DIESEL ENGINE. MTU P/N 8690920049 IS AN ACCEPTABLE P/N, CR 12176.01-583-0301 SUBMITTED ADDING AS A SECONDARY P/N.

Each item shall be individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E METHOD 10, cushioned as appropriate to prevent movement and damage from external impact. Each item shall then be packed in an appropriately sized ASTM-D5118 fiberboard box. Each package shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129R except barcoded in accordance with ISO/IEC-16388 2007, CODE 39 symbology. Vendors unable to package, pack, mark, and barcode filters as required may use a third party, providing additional cost with the quotation. Filters not individually packaged will not be received by the warehouse and will be unacceptable. All items are inspected upon delivery. Failure to meet packaging, packing, marking, and barcoding requirements will result in rejection and possible return, delaying payment. Any questions should be addressed with the contracting officer prior to contract award.

Brand Name part is mandatory for consideration for award. Offers of “equal” products must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified in this solicitation. The USCG will determine if an alternate part is acceptable.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, effective 10/1/2025, FAC Number 2025-06, as supplemented. This announcement is the only solicitation; quotations are requested, and no written solicitation will be issued. The NAICS code is 333998, with a business size standard of 500 employees. The purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to award on an all-or-none basis to a responsible offeror whose conforming offer is most advantageous to the government. Award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable. The Coast Guard plans to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract.

All responsible sources may submit a quotation via email to Eric.I.Goldstein@uscg.mil. Quotations must be received timely. Vendors must have a valid DUNS number, be registered in SAM, and provide their Tax Identification Number (TIN). The closing date and time for receipt of quotations is 7/30/2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
